Rules and policies for general guidance and reference for all CU members.
Special greetings to all members of CU and the browsing public. The Founder and Co- Founders would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the Clans and its members involved in the partnership and for deciding to trust a UNION that we felt so strongly about. It is therefore necessary that we preserve the feeling of fellowship which joined us together by introducing the rules and guiding policies for all to acknowledge.
It is important to remember that Clans United is NOT a clan but a partnership built on mutual respect for each other and the member clans involved.
Before any decision is made out of haste, one should remember OUR founding principles and hence express a certain amount of compromise and reasoning.
The rules could be changed by a method of majority vote which can be started by ANY member and later voted upon by all members. The process would involve EVERYONE and no one should be left out, since we are all stakeholders. [Every effort should be made to contact members either by email or otherwise].
Note to administrators : “It is imperative that following rules be administered in a fair and just manner in keeping with our founding principles for the efficiency and overall welfare of the entity [CU] Clans United.”
PLEASE ENSURE THAT THESE RULES ARE READ for it is in your best interest to be acquainted with them.
SECTION 1: OPERATIONAL RULES, PROTOCOL and GUIDANCE
“NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW”
No member be it Ordinary CU member, Administrator, Co-Founder or even Founder is allowed under ANY circumstance to ABUSE, THREATEN or treat his/her colleague/mate unfairly.
Failure to observe this rule will result in the members involved from both sides being asked to appear before the Disciplinary Committee, where the necessary action will be taken as the Committee sees fit.
Members are kindly advised that there are procedures for dealing with rule breakers and conflicts between members. Please do not get involved in disputes between two members, despite how you may feel about a situation. The CORRECT procedure to follow is to make a formal complaint to the Disciplinary committee, since it’s their Job.
[CU] will not tolerate hackers or players using illegal methods to gain an unfair advantage over his/her colleagues/mates.
Protocol to be followed: If a member/ non- member is found violating this rule he/she shall be temporarily banned, warned and placed on probation. If the member persists on breaking the rules he/she will be expelled banned and placed on our wall of shame for all of eternity.
Double clanning will NOT be tolerated what so ever! If you are found double clanning, you will be suspended and the disciplinary committee will decide the best action to be placed.
Special Section involving SCRIM & its rules.
As you all may be aware, CU is comprised of different clans and therefore it is natural to believe that there are strength in numbers. Together we shall defeat even the largest of clans. However we must allow each other to share the experience of representing CU on the world stage.
Members alone are allowed to participate in scrims concerning CU, this means that lone, solo or player not belonging to a member clan, that is MzFiT, BRP, RBC,MDK,SKLD and M8 would NOT be legible to participate, unless he/she joins a member clan of his/her choice.
Clans wishing to join CU must meet with at least one co- founder to discuss its future with CU.
Members are advised to meet with our scrim and events committee to ensure that his/her name is on the roster of names listed to participate prior to the actual scrim taking place. Please appreciate the fact that a 'first come first serve' policy will be in operation, so make sure you contact the scrim and events committee early.
Common sense MUST prevail, if a member has participated in a scrim event already, he/she must (give way) if there isn’t enough place for others to participate so as to satisfy everyone and allow each other to enjoy the sweetness of victory and the bitterness of defeat. PLEASE note that we want the teams to be mixed with clan members from each clan and not totally one entire clan.
Scrim information will be posted as fast it is received.
All members are allowed to invite clans to scrim against CU, however the scrim and events committee must be informed.
There is no actual game plan for CTF ( Capture the flag), however suggestions are always welcomed.
Individual clans (BRP, RBC, MDK, M8,SKLD) within C.U are allowed to hold their own scrims against whoever they wish even against each other, however the CU tag must not be worn, but rather the individual tag of the clans facing each other.
NO CLAN must feel compelled to wear the CU tag in a CU arranged tournament/ SCRIM, however as a sign of togetherness and uniformity we suggest that you could
